Frequently asked
questions
A few helpful answers before you choose your treasure.
Does my item come in a box?
Yes, all orders are beautifully wrapped in a complimentary Citrine jewellery box, with a black or white reversible velvet foam insert.
Our boxes are FSC® certified, eco-friendly and the foam is free from tarnish accelerating chemicals.
Do you accept returns?
Yes, we do. Please notify us within 3 days of delivery and return the item within 14 days in its original condition and packaging.
Return postage is the buyer’s responsibility. Items must be sent using a tracked and insured service.
Pierced earrings, resized rings and discounted items may be non-returnable.
Do you offer layaway or payment plans?
Of course. We can create a flexible payment plan for selected pieces, allowing you to spread the cost over weeks or months.
Most clients choose three instalments over three months, arranged via PayPal invoice.
Do you edit your photos?
We never retouch or enhance our jewellery. Every sparkle you see is entirely genuine.
The only editing we do is gentle correction of lighting and colour, so the photographs reflect the true appearance of each piece as accurately as possible.
I’m looking for something specific. Can you source it for me?
Absolutely. If you’re searching for something special, I’d be delighted to help.
With almost a decade of experience in antiques and jewellery, I have access to trusted networks and specialist contacts that often make it possible to track down unique pieces.
Can I reserve something?
Yes, we’re happy to reserve an item for you for up to 30 days.
To secure the piece, we kindly ask for a 15% non-refundable deposit, payable upfront.
What’s the difference between antique and vintage?
Antique jewellery usually refers to pieces that are at least 100 years old.
Vintage jewellery generally describes pieces that are more than 20 years old, but not yet antique.
At Citrine, we specialise in antique jewellery, but you may also see select vintage pieces when they have exceptional charm and quality.
Do you offer resizing or repairs?
We don’t carry out resizing or repairs in-house, but we do outsource jewellery amendments to a trusted jeweller who understands antique pieces.
Please get in touch before purchasing if you’d like to resize a ring, so we can advise whether the piece is suitable for alteration.
