Does my item come in a box?
All orders come beautifully wrapped in a complimentary Citrine jewellery box, with a black or white reversible velvet foam insert.
Our boxes are FSC® certified, eco-friendly and the foam is free from tarnish accelerating chemicals - meaning your jewellery is safe from the chemicals and nasties we usually see in jewellery packaging.
These boxes are then packed in a padded envelope which are plastic free, fully recyclable, biodegradable and compostable.
Do you accept returns?
Yes, we do. Please notify us within 3 days of delivery, and return the item within 7 days in its original condition and packaging. Returns must be sent by tracked, signed-for, and insured post. Return postage is the buyer’s responsibility.
Some items are non-returnable:
- Pierced earrings
- Resized rings
- Discounted items
For full details, please see our Returns Policy.
Do you offer layaway/payment plans?
Of course! We can create a flexible payment plan for anything you fancy, allowing you to spread out the cost over weeks or months. Most clients opt for three equal installments over three months.
We'll get it all set up via PayPal invoice, and all our usual terms are in play. Just keep in mind, if you decide to cancel or return, 20% of the invoice total is nonrefundable.
Find our layaway details here.
Do you edit your photos?
We never retouch or enhance our jewellery - every sparkle you see is entirely genuine. Any natural quirks, wear, or structural details are always clearly shown and described in the condition notes.
The only editing we do is gentle correction of lighting and colour to ensure the photographs reflect the true appearance of each piece. As we’re based in the UK, the light isn’t always on our side, so this helps present the jewellery as accurately and beautifully as possible.
I'm looking for something specific. Can you source it for me?
Absolutely! If you’re searching for something specific, I’d be delighted to help. With almost a decade of experience in antiques and jewellery, I have access to trusted networks and specialist contacts that often make it possible to track down unique pieces.
Simply get in touch with the details of what you’re looking for, and I’ll do my best to source a jewel that matches your vision. While it can take time to find the perfect piece, I’ll keep you updated throughout the process.
Can I reserve something?
Of course! We’re happy to reserve an item for you for up to 30 days. To secure the piece, we kindly ask for a 15% non-refundable deposit, payable upfront.
If you’d like to arrange a reservation, simply get in touch - we’ll take care of the rest.

What’s the difference between 'antique' and 'vintage'?
The term antique refers to pieces that are at least 100 years old. These jewels often carry the distinct craftsmanship, design styles, and character of their era, making them true treasures of history.
Vintage jewellery, on the other hand, generally describes pieces that are more than 20 years old, but not yet antique. These can include beautiful designs from the mid-20th century, and even the 1990s, often reflecting fashion trends of their time.
At Citrine, we specialise in antique jewellery, but you may also see select vintage pieces included in the collection when they have exceptional charm and quality.
Do you offer resizing or repairs?
Resizing and repairs for antique jewellery can be delicate, as each piece has its own unique history and structure.
At Citrine, we don’t carry out resizing or repairs in-house, but we do outsource our jewellery amendments to a trusted jeweller and specialist who understands how to work with antique pieces.
If you’re interested in resizing a ring or making a repair, please get in touch before purchasing so we can advise on whether the piece is suitable for alteration. Some items, due to their age or design, may not be able to be resized without risk.
