Antique victorian long guard muff chain, in 9 carat gold

This lovely example of a muff chain is an absolute treasure. Crafted in warm 9 carat gold throughout, the chain is a gorgeous and sleek curb link which catches the sun beautifully. This piece looks absolutely stunning wrapped around the neck, with a charm or fob affixed, using the dog clip to clasp the piece to the end of the chain. This chain is incredibly versatile, thanks to its impressive length and the nature of the style, it can be worn in many different ways and lengths on the neck and wrist.

This piece is in beautiful antique condition, signs of use and wear as expected with age. Minimal wear and patina throughout. The dog clip is in full working order and securely fastens, the spring is a little loose so I would imagine the dog clip may need to be replaced at some point in its lifetime.

The chain measures 26.5" / 67cm in length. The links measure 1.6mm in width.
