Antique bloodstone watch key with split ring, in 9 carat gold

A chunky unique antique watch key pendant featuring a rich bloodstone panel framed by ornate foliate detailing and engine turned texture. This wonderfully substantial piece is finished with a highly sought after split ring, allowing it to be worn beautifully as a pendant on a modern chain or antique Albert.

The deep green bloodstone is flecked with rich natural red markings, creating a striking contrast against the bright and warm golden tones of the mount. Decorative repoussé style floral details sit at either end of the key, adding to its romantic appearance.

Originally created as a functional watch key, this piece now makes a fabulous statement pendant with wonderful antique character and texture throughout. The turning mechanism remains in working order.

No hallmarks, mount XRF tested as 9ct gold. The shaft/decorative elements are gilt/base metal.
