Antique edwardian carnelian and bloodstone fob seal, in 9 carat gold
Antique edwardian carnelian and bloodstone fob seal, in 9 carat gold
An exceptionally stylish antique Edwardian spinning fob seal, crafted in 9 carat gold and set with both rich carnelian and deep green bloodstone.
The beautifully weighted frame is designed in a bold chain link style, giving the piece such a striking and sculptural feel in the hand. The rotating spinner seal moves smoothly between the two stones, each wonderfully polished and full of natural depth and character.
Originally worn as part of a gentleman’s watch chain during the Edwardian era, antique fob seals have become incredibly sought after today as pendants and charm additions, loved for their timeless styling and substantial feel. This example translates beautifully into modern wear, whether worn alone on a fine chain or layered alongside antique lockets and pendants.
The warm mellow tones of the gold pair beautifully with the earthy richness of the bloodstone and the glowing translucency of the carnelian.
The piece carries crisp Chester hallmarks with a date letter for 1905-1906, alongside clear antique character throughout.
