A romantic antique early 20th century boat ring, set with alternating rubies and diamonds, crafted in rich 18ct gold and hallmarked for 1916.

Lovely domed gallery with lace cut openwork, giving this ring impressive height and a sense of sculptural elegance. This gentle curve adds a pleasing chunkiness, beautifully balanced by the delicate feel of the design and the romantic choice of stones.

Set across the face of the ring are alternating berry pink rubies and sparkling old cut diamonds. The stones are bright, vibrant and full of life, perfectly complemented by the warm, honey hues of the high carat gold.

This ring is in beautiful antique condition, signs of use and wear as expected with age. The stones are in well-kept condition, minor blemishes visible under a jeweller's loupe, all secure in their settings. The band is in wonderful condition, a few age related marks and some tarnishing.
