An antique blue paste and seed pearl lavaliere pendant crafted in 9ct gold, dating to the late Victorian to early Edwardian era.

A beautiful late 19th century brooch or pendant designed with flowing pearl set ribbons surrounding a vivid cobalt blue paste stone, finished with a delicate articulated drop suspended beneath.

The openwork design reflects the soft, feminine silhouettes popular during the transition from the Victorian period into the Edwardian era, with delicate Art Nouveau influences seen in its flowing lines and naturalistic motifs. At the centre sits a flower shaped cluster surrounding the blue paste stone, framed with delicate seed pearls and flowing gold scrollwork.

The piece is fitted with a brooch pin to the reverse, allowing it to be worn as either a pendant or brooch. A beautiful antique piece with an elegant silhouette.
