A beautiful naturalistic necklace, crafted in rich 15ct gold, featuring a delicate drop design in the form of an ivy leaf or clover motif, set with sapphires and baroque pearls hosted on a fancy link chain. Dates to the early 20th century, circa 1905-1920s.

Formed as a graceful clover or ivy leaf motif, the pendant hosts softly glowing pearls arranged as organic leaves around a deep blue sapphire centre. A further sapphire sits above within the chain, creating a subtle point of contrast and drawing the eye down into the drop.

The pearls have a wonderfully organic shape and soft lustre, perfectly balanced by inky tone of the sapphires. Above, a fine gold bar and loop detail adds movement and lightness to the design, giving the piece that effortless, airy elegance and hint of playfulness.
