Gorgeous antique Etruscan revival style brooch, with two diamonds and a pink spinel gemstone framed in celestial settings, crafted in 9ct gold and dating to the late Victorian era.

This beautiful late Victorian 9ct gold Etruscan revival brooch is highly ornate and beautifully crafted, with a lovely silhouette to it. The graduated relief is studded with a trio of sparkly gemstones, each framed in an etched celestial or star setting. The central ruby spinel is the perfect strong tone of pink that just harmonises with the mellow, soft rose gold colours throughout the piece. The spinel is flanked by two little diamond chips, measuring just 1mm in size. 

Each arm is decorated with scrolling motifs and fine milgrain encasing the relief and adding an extra bit of texture and depth to the piece. This piece is lovely and lightweight, finished with a traditional C-Catch clasp. The rear side is hallmarked with '9CT T.H'.

Condition report

This piece is in antique condition, signs of use and wear as expected with age. Patina to the brooch as expected, some denting on the left side arm as shown. Both diamond chips are just that - they have no crown.
