A delightful late Victorian pendant, beautifully crafted in 9 carat gold and dating to circa 1890s. This charming piece features a graceful kite or navette shaped form, a classic silhouette of the era that feels both elegant and delicate.

Suspended within the openwork frame is an enchanting floral motif, with seed pearls forming the leaves and a rich deep green tourmaline set at the centre as the flower. The colour contrast is especially striking, with the vivid green gemstone standing out beautifully against the softness of the pearls.

The gold itself displays subtle hues of soft rose gold and warm yellow gold, creating a naturally occurring two tone appearance that adds depth and character. This gentle variation in colour is a wonderful testament to Victorian craftsmanship and gives the pendant a particularly romantic feel.

Lightweight and dainty, yet full of detail, this pendant is a lovely example of late Victorian jewellery design. The chain is not included, but a selection of suitable antique and vintage chains is currently available in the shop.
