Antique victorian ruby cabochon and pearl ring, in 15 carat gold
Antique victorian ruby cabochon and pearl ring, in 15 carat gold
A truly juicy Victorian ruby and pearl heirloom ring, crafted in rich 15 carat gold and full of softness, warmth, and romantic character. This beautiful piece has a luminous presence on the hand and a wonderfully ethereal feel.
The face of the ring features a lozenge shaped arrangement of glowing ruby cabochons and lustrous seed pearls, all set within a traditional closed back setting. The pearls gently flank the pair of rubies, their creamy sheen providing a beautiful contrast to the deep, berry red tones of the gemstones. Each element is framed within an intricately detailed gallery, showcasing the care and craftsmanship typical of the Victorian era.
Delicate scrollwork details flow along the shoulders, adding movement and refinement to the design, while the bright, buttery tone of the high carat gold enhances the richness of the stones and gives the ring its warm, glowing character.
Although unhallmarked, the ring has been fully tested and confirmed as 15 carat gold. Elegant, feminine, and steeped in history, this ring is a wonderful example of Victorian gemstone jewellery and a deeply romantic piece to treasure.
